Indoor Radon Program. The primary goal of the Utah Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control’s (DWMRC) Indoor Radon Program is to reduce the level of indoor radon in the state of Utah to concentrations less than the Environmental Protection Agency’s action level of 4 pCi/L (pico-Curies per liter). The Radon program is partially funded by the State Indoor Radon Grant from the EPA. The ENVIRAD project aims at facing such deficiency in school programs by proposing to underline these topics and setting up a net of schools in which measurements of radon in the ground and indoor will be carried out in order to contribute to the construction of an archive about the natural radioactivity in Campania : M. Measurements for radon are measured in becquerels per cubic metre (Bq/m3). According to Health Canada’s Guide for Radon Measurements in Public Buildings, recommended levels of radon concentration for acceptable indoor air quality are as follows: Below Bq/m 3 – acceptable; Between Bq/m 3 and Bq/m 3 – remediate within 2 years.
